Promoters Rockers Island Entertainment and XO Management, in association with Massive B, recently announced the presence of international Reggae superstar Beres Hammond as one of the headlining performers for the Memorial Weekend music festival, Best of the Best 2013, where he will be awarded with the key to the city of Miami.

Slated to take place on Sunday, May 26, at Bayfront Park, Biscayne Boulevard, in downtown Miami, the lover's rock crooner positions himself with a line-up that speaks volumes, comprising of Reggae, Dancehall and Soca acts.

South Florida's longest running Memorial Weekend music festival is expected to have performances from Chronixx, Konshens, Elephant Man, Mad Cobra, Freddie McGregor, Sanchez, Cocoa Tea, Beenie Man, Skinny Fabolous, Lyrikal, Singer J, Mega Banton, Patrice Roberts, J.W. and Blaze and The Bahamas Rat Pack (Sammi, M Deez, SoSo, D Mac).

Hammond will be presented with a congressional proclamation, during a break in his performance at Best of the Best, by Congresswoman Frederica S Wilson for his many musical and philanthropic contributions over the last three decades. The City Of Miami will also honour the entertainment industry veteran with a Key To The City, which will be presented by Commissioner Michelle Spence-Jones.

Hammond is also prepping a five-day UK tour with 'Queen of Reggae', Marcia Griffiths, and the 'Royal Family of Reggae', Morgan Heritage.

Aptly titled Beres Hammond and Friends, the tour marks the first they would share a common stage, performing in cities inclusive of London, Bristol and Birmingham.
