Honey Pot Riddim Review Image

Playing to upset your sweet tooth, the Honey Pot Riddim laid-back eight-track project gives a retro scent that brings back memories of the good old Reggae soundscape.

The warm feeling oozing from the Silly Walks Discotheque production, finds an ecstatic bass guitar dancing to dripping percussions as a line-up of 2013's 'ones-to-watch' grace the mic holding back nothing.

This groove-ready compilation showcases the likes of Da'Ville, Jah 9 and Chronixx flavouring the throbbing one-drop beat with lyrics that will help make the good times feel great; providing a tracklist that will inflame a smile and a memory every time a song plays. With the instantly catchy hooks pulsating during any given song, the tracklist maintains a consistent sound and lyrical composition from beginning to end with no artiste outshining the other. This intentional accident makes suggestion for a continuous playback; making it difficult to skip tracks without feeling you've missed something.

The Honey Pot Riddim plays as a textbook example of Reggae music's growing dominance for 2013.
