In this week's Entertainment Rundown we look at the resurrection of Vybz Kartel, Romain Virgo launching The System, Gifton Wright trending around the world, and Chino's new dedicative release.

Vybz Kartel is Back to Life
Armed with the instrumental for Sean Kingston's latest single Back to Life, UIM Records has released a previously unheard Vybz Kartel recording over the mentioned production to much viral fanfare.

Vybz Kartel's Back to Life entails a gritty picture being painted of one's existence within the Jamaican correctional system, the context being his stint in jail during Jamaica's State of Emergency in 2010.

Romain Virgo launches The System
Romain Virgo, the 2007 Digicel Rising Stars victor, launched his second album The System at Emancipation Park in Kingston Jamaica on May 31st, 2012. Romain Virgo belted out tracks from the album to hundreds of fans that came out to see and hear the contemporary Prince of Reggae.

Gifton Does Jamaica Proud
The world marveled on May 31st, 2012, as Gifton Wright, a 14 year old student of Kingston College, tied for fourth place in the Scripps National Spelling Bee in the United States. Wright tied for an impressive fourth place out of a field of 279 spellers, and achieved this under the coaching of the Reverend Glen Archer.

Although Wright was not the victor, he briefly became the highest trending topic in the world via the social media Twitter, as he touched viewers with his charming manners and respectful demeanor.

Chino releases Miss Universe
Dancehall artiste Chino has released a new single entitled Miss Universe, that can be found on Stephen McGregor's Bassline Riddim, which seems to be an ode to his beau, beauty pageant queen Yendi Phillips.
