According to Fred Annan, Base Incorporated MD, "Base Incorporated has been bringing Beres Hammond to the UK for over a decade. This year we wanted to take it to an unprecedented level and who better to team him up with but, the undisputed Queen of Reggae and the Royal Family of reggae? This tour will set a new high in concerts which will be hard to surpass, even for us."
With hits 'Groovy Little Thing', 'Tempted to Touch', 'I Feel Good' and 'She Loves Me Now' safely tucked away in Hammond's catalogue, Griffiths undoubtedly will amplify her smooth vocals over her hits 'The First Cut' and 'Electric Boogie' leaving patrons mesmerized and yearning for more.
Morgan Heritage, comprised of siblings Peetah, Una, Gramps, Lukes and Mr Mojo – the children of reggae artiste Denroy Morgan – have enjoyed international success with hits including 'Down By The River' and 'She's Still Loving Me' but band member Gramps expressed the band's enthusiasm to embark on a tour of this nature as one long in the making.
"We've long admired both Beres Hammond and Marcia Griffiths two of the greatest proponents of reggae. To join them on the stage in the UK making history, will be both a blessing and the achievement of an ambition. Fans of reggae are in for the show of a lifetime," he said.
The Beres Hammond and Friends tour will take place from July 17-21.
