Like many other athletes Blake uses music as a portal to put him in his element. So then, what does The Beast listen to to get his adrenalin going so that he can conquer the tracks? According to Blake his playlist typically features Busy Signal, Konshens and Mr. Vegas. "I listen to a few songs to get me aggressive, you nuh- when you just feel pumped up and ready," he expressed.
"My favorite Jamaican song that tops my playlist is this song that really motivated me through out. Popcaan sing a song that everybody wants to be the winner, every ghetto youth wants to own a bimmer- dem seh me nah reach nuh weh, so all of this come in like is a dream," said Blake in reference to Popcaan's song Dream. In addition to these artiste he listed Alaine, Bob Marley, Taurrus Riley, Jah Cure, Munga Honorable and Popcaan as some of his favourite Jamaican artistes.
