Nayanka Bell is an Ivorian singer who's music career started in the early 1980's.

She was born in 1954 in Touba, Cote d'Ivoire, but her music was heavily influenced by the Francophone Caribbean. She released her debut album in 1984 which was titled Amio and included a mixture of funk, disco and ballads. Her Caribbean influence was more prominent however in her second album, If You Came To Go.

She eventually released 6 albums, by which time she was regarded as one of Cote d'Ivoire's top singers.

In 2009 however, Bell was involved in a vehicular accident. she suffered severe injuries which required several operations and this has temporarily put her out of the music business. Hopefully she will once again grace the stage when she is fully recovered.
